Hey, I've been trying to do research on a USMC SAW gunner impression but I havn't found much on thier exact loadout. Here's what I know I need so far. Please correct me and add on where you can.

-MARPAT
-PASGT w/ Cover
-Interceptor Vest Coyote Brown (Would OD work?)
-1 SAW gunner pouch
-Radio pouch
-Drop Leg holster
-KBAR
-Utility Pouch
-2 Grenade pouches
-Hydration Carrier

Im not too familiar with how the Marines loadout... But what you got there sounds like a very solid start to a realistic loadout! I dont know if Marines wear knee pads or not, or maybe put some goggles on the helmet. Little touches make a big difference in a loadout also. I have EMT- Shears, and other medical supplies in my vest...

Also, based on your actions at Ivan Hammer, you got the smarts to play a good SAW gunner!! My suggestion is to use that 249 more aggressively though!! Dont be afraid just to lay down a holey fire storm out there, you got plenty of ammo to do it!!

It was good playing with you, hope to see you get your loadout going!

Later,
JD

Yes I am. They actually work really well! Although I probably will take them off cause I don't really need the extra box mag on me. A Bag of BB's will suffice.

Looking good. May I offer a few suggestions?

Either blouse the pants or let them come down over the boots. Tucking isn't really a good option.
The boots really do need to be tan/brown. Usually you can pick up a pair at an Army/Navy for around $30.
A few more pouches would really round out the look. Maybe an IFAK and a radio pouch would be a good start. Maybe consider a GP pouch as well?
Would you please post a kitlist?
It really is coming together well.

If you need any more inspiration, check the USMC threads over at Arnie's. There are several hundred pages of Marine and Force Recon loadouts.

KitList:

Marpat Box mag pouch
CB dual grenade pouch
CB admin pouch
CB utility pouch (used for radio)
CB Hydration carrier
CB Interceptor Vest
A&K M249 MKII
OD PASGT Helmet
Marpat Helmet Cover
Arena Flackjack Goggles (on helmet)
Black Hiking Boots

Thanks for the replies and suggestions guys. I'll work on getting those new boots too, and letting my pant legs hang as well.
